Y S Taekwondo was founded with a vision to provide high-quality, traditional Taekwondo instruction to the Celina community. Rooted in strong traditional values, our school has built a reputation for excellence by serving students of all ages and experience levels with dedication and care. We offer a safe, energetic, and family-oriented environment where every student is encouraged to grow and succeed.

Our founder, Master Youngsil Choi, is a lifelong martial artist and a 7th Dan Black Belt who has dedicated her life to the practice and teaching of Taekwondo. With over 20 years of teaching experience, Master Choi is committed to preserving the traditional values of Taekwondo while helping every student reach their full potential. Her balanced approach—combining patience, precision, and high standards—values character development as highly as physical skill.

Today, Y S Taekwondo proudly serves students throughout Celina and the surrounding communities of Prosper, Gunter, Pilot Point, Frisco, and McKinney. We uphold the core principles of Taekwondo: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Our mission is to help each student become their best self—mentally, physically, and emotionally—both inside and outside the dojang, developing discipline, confidence, strength, and character that positively impact their lives at school, at home, and in the community.
